The service is also set to remove Jusant and Metal Slug Tactics on the same day, according to the "Leaving Soon" section recently updated in the Xbox app.

Microsoft typically announces Xbox Game Pass removals every two weeks alongside new game additions. However, the company occasionally provides early indications through the Xbox app's dedicated "Leaving Soon" section, which was recently refreshed on October 18 to reveal the three titles scheduled for removal at month's end.

Among the departing titles, Return to Monkey Island stands out as the most significant loss in terms of critical reception. The adventure game boasts an impressive 97% reviewer recommendation rate on OpenCritic, with an average score of 87 based on over 100 reviews. This places it in the 98th percentile of all titles in the OpenCritic database, making it one of the highest-rated games currently available through the subscription service.

While Jusant reportedly fell short of developer Don't Nod's commercial expectations, it maintains strong critical credentials with an 84 average score and 91% recommendation rate on OpenCritic, placing it in the 91st percentile of all titles on the platform. Both Return to Monkey Island and Jusant offer reasonable completion times for players hoping to experience them before their departure. In contrast, Metal Slug Tactics presents a more substantial time commitment, with completionist runs potentially exceeding 40 hours.

Metal Slug Tactics originally joined Xbox Game Pass as a day-one release in November 2024 before transitioning to the service's Standard (now Premium) tier in May 2025. While the "Leaving Soon" section provides valuable early warnings, Microsoft has occasionally adjusted these lists, sometimes expanding or shortening the removal timeline.
