The WWE 2K25 roster is about to get a whole lot more interesting with a series of exciting DLC packs.  These additions bring unexpected wrestlers into the virtual ring, making dream matches a reality.

One of the most surprising inclusions is Abyss, a hardcore wrestling legend known for his monstrous persona and brutal style.  His presence in the Dunk & Destruction DLC pack finally allows players to simulate the long-awaited Abyss vs. Kane dream match, a clash of titans that never occurred in real life.

Abyss's inclusion is unexpected due to his history outside of WWE. Christopher Joseph Park, the man behind the Abyss mask, currently works backstage at WWE.  Combined with the company's positive relationship with TNA, where Abyss made his name, this has paved the way for his gaming debut.  Abyss, inspired by wrestlers like Kane and Mick Foley, faced Foley in TNA, but a match against Kane remained elusive.

Kane, now the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, and Abyss, retired from in-ring competition, make a real-life match impossible.  However, the WWE 2K25 Dunk & Destruction DLC, launching in June 2025, offers fans the chance to experience this fantasy showdown.

The first DLC pack, the New Wave Pack, arrives in May 2025, introducing Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, and a mystery celebrity guest.  Dunk & Destruction follows in June with Abyss, The Great Khali, and three unrevealed NBA stars.

Three further DLC packs are scheduled. The Fearless Pack in July 2025 boasts ECW legend New Jack, rising star Jordynne Grace, Penta, Bull Nakano, and another celebrity guest. The Attitude Era pack, coming September 2025, includes D'Lo Brown, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, Victoria, and Mark Henry. Finally, November 2025's Saturday Night's Main Event Pack adds Jesse Ventura, "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff, Tito Santana, The Junkyard Dog, and Sid Justice.
