This exclusive peripheral will be available for a limited time and launches alongside the game itself.
Fans of the original Death Stranding have eagerly awaited updates about the sequel, especially as the first game approaches its sixth anniversary. Kojima officially announced On the Beach during The Game Awards 2022, revealing that the narrative had been adjusted to reflect the global impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. While many original cast members return, new additions like Elle Fanning and Debra Wilson will also feature. Ahead of the game's summer release, players can soon add this unique controller to their collection.

Priced at $84.99, the controller ships on June 26—the same day as the game's release. While the game's release is still a month away, it's already generating buzz for its innovative gameplay features. This move has sparked debate, with some praising it as an accessibility feature and others questioning its impact on gameplay.
In early April, it was confirmed that the live-action Death Stranding film is in development, with Michael Sarnoski (A Quiet Place: Day One) set to write and direct. Producers Ari Aster (Midsommar) and Lars Knudsen (Hereditary) are also attached to the project. While no release date has been announced, the success of recent game adaptations has fans optimistic.
