Krafton has revealed exciting details about the upcoming InZOI mod kit, scheduled for official launch this month. The developer confirmed that the highly anticipated InZOI modding tools will be available through the Epic Games Store in late May, with additional enhancements to the game's modding ecosystem rolling out throughout 2025.

For years, Electronic Arts' The Sims series dominated the life simulation genre, leaving fans eager for fresh competition. While many expected Paradox Interactive's Life by You to challenge The Sims, its unexpected cancellation left a void. Krafton filled this gap with InZOI in March 2025, earning widespread acclaim from players and critics alike. Though still in early access, Krafton continues enriching the game through regular updates, with the next significant patch arriving later this month.

Following a series of content updates for InZOI, Krafton is preparing to introduce official mod support. A recent blog post on the game's official website previewed the new mod kit tool, confirming its late May launch on the Epic Games Store. Players will gain access to official InZOI assets like furniture and clothing for customization, alongside Maya and Blender plugins to simplify 3D asset creation.

The mod kit will include full CurseForge integration, enabling creators to upload their mods directly to the platform. Players can then browse and download mods seamlessly through InZOI's in-game CurseForge interface. This move mirrors The Sims 4's successful modding ecosystem, ensuring a user-friendly experience for the community.

Krafton has also outlined a dedicated modding roadmap beyond the initial release. The first update arrives this month, followed by expansions in September and December. The September update will introduce moddable character features (faces, hair) and architectural elements (doors, fences, windows), plus interaction-based content like conversations and rewards. December's update will make most outfits moddable and provide tools for editing interaction scripts and localization, enabling richer customization.
