Behaviour Interactive has sent shockwaves through the gaming community with its latest announcements for Dead by Daylight. The developers revealed two major crossover events during PAX East - one with the terrifying Five Nights at Freddy's franchise and another with the dark fantasy world of The Witcher. These collaborations mark significant milestones for the popular asymmetrical horror game, which has become renowned for its innovative crossover content.

Dead by Daylight

Five Nights at Freddy's Chapter

The Five Nights at Freddy's content will serve as Dead by Daylight's ninth anniversary chapter, bringing one of horror gaming's most iconic antagonists to the roster. Springtrap, the decayed animatronic rabbit from FNAF 3, will join as a new Killer, fulfilling years of fan requests. The chapter will feature a meticulously recreated Freddy Fazbear's Pizza map, immersing players in the eerie atmosphere of the beloved horror franchise. Adding to the authenticity, actor Matthew Lillard will provide both his likeness and voice lines for the character.

The Witcher Collection

Scheduled for release on June 3, The Witcher Collection will introduce character skins based on CD Projekt Red's acclaimed RPG series. Players can look forward to customizing their Survivors as Geralt of Rivia, Ciri, Yennefer, Triss, and even the villainous Eredin. The collaboration will feature original voice actor Doug Cockle reprising his role as Geralt, recording new lines specifically for Dead by Daylight.

Community-Driven Content

Beyond these high-profile collaborations, Dead by Daylight is breaking new ground with an innovative community project. Creative Director Dave Richard announced a Choose Your Own Adventure-style initiative where players will help design an upcoming chapter through voting. The community will decide on everything from character appearances to lore details for content planned for 2026.

Additional Updates

Behaviour Interactive also revealed a special collection featuring the Boulet Brothers, premiering on July 8. This collaboration with the horror hosts and drag performers will introduce new aesthetic options for The Huntress and The Artist, expanding the game's customization possibilities.

A Legacy of Horror Crossovers

Dead by Daylight continues to cement its position as the ultimate horror crossover platform, having previously incorporated characters from Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Stranger Things, and most recently, Tokyo Ghoul. With these new announcements, the game promises to deliver even more thrilling experiences for horror fans worldwide.
