Alcremie Joins Pokemon Unite: Release Date, Role, and Customization Details
2025-05-18 04:42:37Pokemon Unite is set to welcome Alcremie, the charming Fairy-type Pokemon introduced in Generation 8, in its upcoming June 12 update. This highly anticipated addition has been on fans' wishlists for months, and the wait is finally coming to an end.
Since its launch in July 2021, the Pokemon-themed MOBA for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices has blended classic Pokemon mechanics with competitive gameplay, such as evolving by defeating wild Pokemon. Starting with just 19 playable characters, the roster has now expanded to over 70 by 2025, with Alolan Raichu being the most recent addition on April 17.
A new teaser showcases Alcremie spinning atop a strawberry-adorned cake, confirming its June 12 release. Fans first learned about Alcremie's arrival during Pokemon Day 2025, where Suicune and Alolan Raichu were also announced. With Suicune released on March 1 and Alolan Raichu in April, speculation now turns to which Pokemon will follow Alcremie.
Developers have confirmed Alcremie will join the supporter class, alongside other Fairy-types like Comfey and Wigglytuff. While it may not appeal to aggressive players, its healing, debuffing, and crowd-control abilities will make it a valuable team asset.
Alcremie's appeal lies in its customization. In Pokemon Sword and Shield, it evolves from Milcery into 70 different forms, determined by cream color and held sweets. Players can influence its evolution by spinning at specific times of day. In Pokemon Unite, Alcremie adopts its Strawberry Sweet Vanilla Cream form.
