Activision recently confirmed that the season would begin on May 29, followed by a detailed breakdown of patch notes outlining the new content, modes, and gameplay adjustments arriving with the Warzone update.

Among the major gameplay additions is the return of Clash Mode, a 52v52 team deathmatch set across familiar POIs like Quarry and Promenade. Later in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4, players will also experience Havoc Royale, a limited-time mode for quads featuring shifting gas circle modifiers that force squads to adapt their strategies. Additionally, new gear and systems are being introduced, including the Care Package Killstreak for rare loot, the Loot Master Perk for enhanced cache rewards, and an update to Search and Destroy Contracts—now available in Battle Royale, Resurgence, and Plunder modes.

The standout feature of Season 4 is The Overlook. This colossal structure now stands as the tallest building in Call of Duty: Warzone's Verdansk, more than doubling the height of any other landmark on the map. It replaces previous icons like Burger Town and introduces a fresh layer of vertical gameplay. Players will discover ziplines, operational cranes, a skydeck, and a penthouse within the tower.
