Bungie has rolled out a new update for Destiny 2, targeting several bugs that have been affecting players. As the game approaches its next major phase in July, the development team remains focused on refining the core experience during the ongoing Episode Heresy.

While anticipation builds for the upcoming Edge of Fate expansion, players can now dive into the revamped Prophecy dungeon as part of the Rite of the Nine event. This update also brings crucial fixes to weapon stats, ability animations, and Triumph tracking.

One notable fix addresses an issue where players could mistakenly select the Gjallarhorn's Exotic Catalyst as a reward, even if they already owned it. This update ensures that rewards are more accurately distributed, allowing players to focus on acquiring new gear.

Other fixes include:

  • Weapons: Resolved a bug that reduced the Impact stat of the Cruoris FR4 fusion rifle when enhanced. Fixed an issue with the Nature Reclaimed reticle movement and removed unintended art elements.
  • Abilities: Addressed animation problems with Echo of Domineering and Facet of Command when used with bows.
  • Triumphs: Corrected the Seeker of the Nine Triumph, which was previously tracking progress per character instead of per account.

The Rite of the Nine event now features the revamped Prophecy dungeon, offering players new gear and a refreshed experience. This update precedes the Edge of Fate expansion, set to launch on July 15, which promises significant changes to Destiny 2's core gameplay, including new weapons, exotic gear, and a tiered loot system.
