Deltarune, the spiritual successor to Undertale, has been expanding its universe through chapter-based updates since its 2018 debut. The recent release of Chapters 3 and 4 coincided with the launch of Nintendo's Switch 2, featuring special Joy-Con 2 mouse mode functionality in certain game areas. Toby Fox has confirmed that Chapter 4 isn't the end, with Chapter 5 expected to arrive in 2026.

The Among Us reference appears during a scene where characters Kris, Susie, and Noelle discover empty boxes in a closet. Susie's comment about the room being "kinda sus... especially that vent" directly references Among Us' iconic gameplay elements.
