The critically acclaimed Soulslike game Lies of P has reached an impressive milestone, selling over three million copies worldwide. To celebrate this achievement, publisher Neowiz has rewarded the development team at Round8 Studio with substantial bonuses, including Nintendo Switch 2 consoles and additional paid vacations.

Following the surprise release of its DLC Overture during Summer Game Fest 2025, Lies of P experienced a significant surge in player engagement. The DLC introduces new enemies, weapons, and a gripping time-travel narrative, further enriching the dark fairytale world of Krat. While the base game was already challenging for newcomers, the developers listened to feedback and added optional difficulty settings to accommodate a broader audience.

According to reports from South Korean media The Elec, Neowiz has gone above and beyond standard compensation. Employees received an extra two weeks of paid leave on top of the mandatory 15 days, along with a cash bonus of 10 million won (approximately $7,300). The most exciting perk? Every team member will receive a Nintendo Switch 2 as a token of appreciation for their hard work.

In addition to these rewards, Round8 Studio recently rolled out an update for Overture, addressing player feedback by reducing monster difficulty in subsequent playthroughs and fixing various bugs. The DLC is now accessible earlier in the game, starting from Chapter 5 at 'Path of the Pilgrim.'

While support for Lies of P continues, Round8 Studio is already working on a new survival horror IP set in a sci-fi universe, as well as a sequel to Lies of P that could arrive as early as 2026.
