Originally launched in 2024, Star Wars Outlaws introduced players to the life of Kay Vess, a daring scoundrel navigating the Outer Rim's criminal underworld. Despite not meeting Ubisoft's sales projections, the game has maintained a dedicated player base, thanks in part to consistent updates and two story-driven DLC expansions: Wild Card and A Pirate's Fortune.

The latest patch, released on June 24, 2025, addresses multiple gameplay issues across all platforms. Key fixes include resolving problems with weapon ammunition after saving, cover mechanics in specific areas, and fast travel restrictions during dialogue sequences at Achra Station.

Notable improvements have also been made to the game's UI and accessibility options, making the experience more inclusive for all players. Additionally, several questlines on planets like Toshara, Tatooine, and Akiva have been refined to provide a smoother narrative experience.
