From now until July 6, fans can collect both standard and Epic Loot Boxes by tuning into Overwatch 2 content on Twitch for a total of five hours.

Season 17, titled Powered Up, introduces significant updates to the popular team-based shooter. Players can explore a refreshed Battle Pass, experience the debut of dual Mythic skins, and battle across the new Aatlis Flashpoint map. These additions continue Blizzard's commitment to keeping the game fresh and engaging for its player base.

How to Claim Your Free Loot Boxes

The Twitch Drop campaign follows a straightforward process:

1. Link your Battle.net account with Twitch
2. Watch any Overwatch 2 stream in the official category
3. Earn rewards at specific milestones
4. Claim your rewards through Twitch Drops inventory
5. Items will automatically appear in your Overwatch 2 account

This campaign marks a shift from previous Twitch Drop events that primarily offered cosmetic skins. Since mid-Season 15, Blizzard has focused on providing Loot Box rewards, potentially establishing a new standard for future promotions. While the developer hasn't confirmed if this will remain permanent, players might expect similar reward structures moving forward.

Additionally, the Powered Up in-game event offers another opportunity to collect Epic Loot Boxes. By completing matches (with wins and Stadium games counting double), players can earn up to four more Epic Loot Boxes by playing 3, 8, 12, and 17 games respectively. Every four Epic Loot Boxes guarantees a Legendary item, making these rewards particularly valuable for collectors.
