During a recent developer livestream on June 24, Bungie showcased three significant armor pieces. Warlocks gain access to Eunoia, solar gauntlets that enhance the Hellion class ability by causing mortar impacts to shatter into homing projectiles. Hunters receive Moirai, a strand chest piece that enables a unique Threaded Spike melee technique to detonate and retrieve Tangles. Titans will wield Melas Panoplia, solar gauntlets that transform the Throwing Hammer into a boomerang weapon, with perfectly timed throws triggering explosive effects that extend the Forge Master duration.

These revelations follow Bungie's earlier announcement about comprehensive exotic armor reworks coming with Edge of Fate. While the studio had previously discussed conceptual changes, this marks the first concrete demonstration of how these modifications will actually perform in gameplay scenarios.

However, some community members have expressed concerns about potential melee combat nerfs accompanying these changes. Bungie's recent blog post confirmed adjustments to the damage system that may affect melee effectiveness - particularly relevant since two of the three showcased armor pieces focus on melee capabilities. The developer maintains these changes will create more balanced and strategic combat, though the full impact won't be clear until players gain hands-on experience after launch.
