Diablo Immortal Welcomes the Druid Class in 2025
2025-06-27 07:20:14Blizzard and NetEase have officially revealed that the Druid class will join Diablo Immortal in early July 2025. This marks the ninth playable class in the popular action RPG, bringing back a fan-favorite archetype from the Diablo series.
The Druid, first introduced in Diablo 2, is known for its shapeshifting abilities and primal magic. While absent in Diablo 3, the class made a triumphant return in Diablo 4 and is now set to enchant players in Diablo Immortal with a fresh twist.
Blizzard unveiled the new class with a cinematic trailer on June 25, 2025, showcasing the Druid's origins in the Sharval Wilds—a dark, Gothic-inspired forest filled with Gaelic fantasy elements. Senior narrative designer Ryan Quinn described it as a primal reimagining of the classic archetype.
Diablo Immortal: Druid Class Features
- Primary Attacks
- Transformations
- Core Skills
The Druid’s gameplay emphasizes elemental chaos, featuring abilities like wildfires, earthquakes, and animal companions. While it shares similarities with the Diablo 4 Druid, this version introduces new forms and a more agile combat style, encouraging dynamic form-swapping during battles.
Starting July 3, 2025, players can experience the Druid through:
- Creating a new character and selecting the Druid class.
- Participating in the Primal Plane event, a three-week challenge where everyone plays as the Druid.
- Completing the Druid Origin Quest, "Grovekeeper's Call," to unlock the class’s lore and abilities.
- Using Class Change to transition an existing character to the Druid, with the cooldown removed after finishing the origin quest.
The Druid’s arrival is part of Diablo Immortal's 2025 "Epoch of Madness" roadmap, which also includes the "First and Last King" update later in the year. While details are scarce, the update is expected to expand on the power vacuum theme introduced in the Shattered Sanctuary update.
