NetEase Games has revealed exciting changes coming to their popular hero shooter, including a faster content release schedule and significant gameplay updates.

The new season will transport players to Klyntar, the iconic symbiote homeworld, through a brand new map featuring environments inspired by the alien planet and its dark creator Knull. This visually stunning battleground promises to add fresh strategic possibilities to Marvel Rivals' dynamic combat system.

NetEase is implementing a major shift in their seasonal structure, reducing season length from three months to two. This change means players can expect new heroes every month, with Jean Grey arriving at Season 3 launch and vampire hunter Blade following in the mid-season 3.5 update about a month later.

The recently released gameplay trailer showcases Jean Grey's impressive abilities, with the Phoenix Force floating behind her as she delivers devastating ranged attacks. Her ultimate ability combines mobility with area-of-effect damage, capable of clearing enemy constructs like Rocket's gadgets while dealing massive damage to opponents.

Jean Grey will feature in a special team-up called Primal Flame with Wolverine. As the anchor of this combination, she imbues Wolverine with Phoenix Force power during his Feral Leap, adding burn damage and lifesteal mechanics to his attacks.

Season 3 brings comprehensive hero balance adjustments across the roster. Notable changes include significant buffs to The Thing, whose Stone Haymaker can now knockdown flying heroes, plus a new Battle Blitz ability granting mobility and damage reduction.
