Gameloft has officially revealed the details for the next major update of Disney Dreamlight Valley, scheduled for release on June 9. This update is particularly significant as it introduces the second chapter of "The Storybook Vale" expansion, along with a host of bug fixes aimed at improving the overall gameplay experience.

Originally launched in early access back in 2022, Disney Dreamlight Valley achieved its full 1.0 release in December 2023. Since then, it has garnered a massive following, earning praise as one of the most beloved cozy games in recent memory. The game has seen 17 major updates and numerous smaller patches, each bringing fresh content and addressing player feedback.

The upcoming update, titled "The Unwritten Realm," will transport players into a mysterious dimension described as "a void of swirling storybook pages." Here, players will encounter Maleficent and Aurora, assisting them in settling into this enigmatic world. Completing their friendship quests will unlock exclusive items and outfits. Additionally, premium shop bundles inspired by these iconic characters will be available for all players.

This update follows the successful "Mysteries of Skull Rock" expansion, which introduced Peter Pan and The Forgotten, along with the Adventures in Never Land Star Path. Players also welcomed Max, a helpful canine companion capable of digging up resources.

Gameloft has also confirmed that Disney Dreamlight Valley will be compatible with the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, hinting at a potential enhanced version of the game in the future.
