Japanese gaming publisher Entergram has announced its decision to permanently remove more than 100 PS4 and PS Vita titles from the Japanese PlayStation Store this September. This move will significantly impact the availability of region-exclusive digital content for Japanese players.

The PlayStation Store has served as Sony's primary digital marketplace since its 2006 debut on PS3, offering everything from blockbuster AAA titles to innovative indie games. However, the store's catalog varies dramatically by region, with Japan maintaining numerous exclusive titles that never receive global releases.

According to reports from ComicBook, Entergram will delist 106 games on September 30, stating simply that it's "ending sales" for these titles. The affected games appear exclusively on the Japanese PlayStation Store, meaning international players won't experience direct impacts from this removal.

This mass delisting raises important questions about digital game preservation. As more publishers remove titles from storefronts, concerns grow about losing access to gaming history. Recent movements like the "Stop Killing Games" petition, which garnered over a million signatures, highlight increasing player demand for preservation solutions.
