Pokemon GO has revealed an exciting new "Ultra Unlock Origin Raid Day" event scheduled for early August, spotlighting the powerful Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia. This limited-time event offers trainers unique opportunities to battle and capture these legendary Pokemon with their signature moves.

The mobile phenomenon continues to expand its gameplay beyond traditional wild encounters, providing multiple methods to obtain rare creatures. Trainers can participate in Special Research tasks, compete in Gym Raids, or hatch Eggs to discover exclusive Pokemon. The upcoming Raid Day promises to deliver particularly formidable opponents for dedicated players.

The Ultra Unlock system rewards player participation in special events, offering escalating benefits for completing Global Challenges. Following the successful Pokemon GO Fest 2025 where trainers unlocked all reward tiers, Niantic has already launched the "Hisui Celebration" and "Steel and Scales" events. The Origin Raid Day represents the final reward from this year's GO Fest achievements.

Scheduled for August 10 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time, the Origin Raid Day features:

  • Exclusive appearances of Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia in Raids
  • Special moves: Roar of Time (Dialga) and Spacial Rend (Palkia)
  • Five additional Raid Passes from Gym Photo Disc spins
  • Increased Shiny encounter rates
  • Remote Raid limit boosted to 20
  • 1.5x XP from Raid Battles
  • Higher Rare Candy XL drop rates for level 31+ trainers

Event ticket holders receive enhanced benefits including eight additional Raid Passes, guaranteed Rare Candy XL for catches, 3x Raid XP, and double Stardust from Raids.

These legendary Pokemon originate from Pokemon Legends: Arceus, continuing the Hisui region theme seen in recent events. The Hisui Celebration previously introduced Hisuian Zorua and Zoroark, while Steel and Scales debuted Honedge and its evolutionary line.
