Originally released on July 10th, Enchanted by Nature represents the 19th major expansion for The Sims 4 since its initial debut in September 2014. This expansion particularly appeals to players who enjoy incorporating supernatural elements into their virtual neighborhoods, marking the first time Sims can transform into magical fairies. Beyond the mystical additions, the expansion introduces an apothecary career path, a balanced lifestyle gameplay mechanic, and an upgradable Natural Living skill for those preferring more grounded gameplay experiences.

Players who have acquired the latest expansion will appreciate the enhanced control over ailments introduced in Enchanted by Nature. These conditions, which can be contracted through various means including deliberate fairy transmission, feature both beneficial and detrimental symptoms. Previously treated as automatically contagious, the update now provides a toggle option in the settings menu that allows players to enable or disable the contagion feature entirely. Additionally, since extreme lifestyle imbalance increases susceptibility to ailments, players can now completely disable the Balanced Lifestyle system if desired.

The update significantly expands customization options available to all players regardless of expansion ownership. Continuing Maxis' commitment to creating an inclusive gaming environment, the Create-a-Sim feature now includes more realistic aging details and skin pigmentation variations. Adult Sims gain additional wrinkle options for mouths and bodies, while teenage and older Sims can access new facial features including rosacea, dark spots, age spots, and under-eye bags, complemented by new body stretch marks and freckle patterns.

A particularly useful addition for players with multiple expansions is the innovative Pack Selection feature. When initiating a new game save, this tool enables selective activation of specific DLC content without requiring uninstallation.
