Marvel Rivals is gearing up for its Season 4.5 update, titled "Heart of the Dragon," which is set to release on October 10, 2025. This update brings a significant feature that players have been eagerly awaiting: cross-progression. While the full rollout of cross-progression is planned for Season 5, a limited group of players will gain early access to test the feature during Season 4.5.

Cross-progression allows players to link their accounts across different platforms, including PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Once linked, players can carry their progress from one platform to another. However, it's important to note that while career stats and rank will be tracked independently, ranked and leaderboard positions will remain separate for each platform. This means that while you can switch between platforms without losing your overall progress, your competitive rank and leaderboard standing will need to be earned separately on each system.

To enable cross-progression, players need to navigate to the "Other" tab in the game settings, then go to "Account" and select "Account Linking." From there, they can link their accounts across various platforms. Players will also need to set a main character for one platform, which will be used across all linked accounts, although there will be a cooldown period if they wish to switch their main character.

In addition to cross-progression, Season 4.5 will introduce Daredevil, also known as "The Man Without Fear," as a new Duelist. Daredevil's abilities will feature a demonic twist, showcasing his unique powers in the game. The character's background involves him harnessing demonic power after defeating a beast, earning him a new name: "Dizang".

As Halloween approaches, NetEase has confirmed that a Halloween-themed event and a special game mode will be added to Marvel Rivals. More details on these additions are expected to be revealed at the Thailand Game Show on October 17.

For those interested in testing cross-progression during Season 4.5, sign-ups are open through a Google Form. The application period will remain open until October 20, and selected players will be notified via in-game mail by October 23. Those who don't get the chance to test the feature in Season 4.5 will have access to it when cross-progression officially launches in Season 5.
