A chilling new survival horror experience, Flesh Made Fear, is set to unleash its terrors exclusively on PC via GoG, itch.io, and Steam. Developed by Tainted Pact and published by Assemble Entertainment, this retro-inspired title draws heavily from classics like Resident Evil, promising a nostalgic yet terrifying journey for both seasoned horror enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

The gaming world has witnessed a resurgence of horror in recent years, from acclaimed remakes like Silent Hill 2, Dead Space, and Resident Evil 4 to fresh titles like Mouthwashing, Crow Country, and Still Wakes the Deep. Flesh Made Fear seeks to blend the atmospheric dread of classic survival horror with the scares of modern releases, adding its own unique twist to the formula.

Exciting news for horror fans: a new game centered around extraterrestrial investigations has been revealed.  Flesh Made Fear puts players in the shoes of either Natalie or Jack, members of the elite Reaper Intervention Platoon (R.I.P.).  Their mission: to stop the brilliant but deranged ex-CIA agent, Victor "The Dripper" Ripper.

Within Ripper's mansion-turned-laboratory, players will confront grotesque monsters born from his inhuman experiments. Unraveling his secrets while battling for survival will be paramount. The game embraces classic mechanics like tank controls and fixed camera angles, enhanced by immersive cinematics and a gripping narrative.

The developers cite the original Resident Evil trilogy as a key inspiration, aiming to deliver a thrilling experience for both retro enthusiasts and modern horror fans.

Flesh Made Fear boasts a range of features, including seamless transitions between fixed camera perspectives and dynamic rail-and-follow camera sequences. Players will wield a diverse arsenal, from pistols to grenade launchers, while navigating puzzle-driven story elements.  Limited saves and inventory management add to the classic survival horror challenge.

Mirroring titles like Resident Evil 1 and 2, the two playable characters, Natalie and Jack, offer unique stats and storylines, enhancing replayability. The trailer offers a glimpse into the game's familiar yet unique aesthetic, showcasing innovative monster designs and a terrifying soundscape.

Flesh Made Fear is slated for a Q4 2025 release, exclusively on PC.

The resurgence of retro-style horror games, with their classic mechanics and often pixelated graphics, has been notable. Flesh Made Fear appears to be a promising entry in this genre, blending classic gameplay with modern updates. Horror fans should definitely keep this one on their radar.
