Ubisoft has officially revealed Year 10 Season 1 for Rainbow Six Siege, kicking off with Operation Prep Phase and introducing the highly anticipated new operator, Rauora.  This marks a significant update following Operation Collision Point, which brought a Blackbeard remaster and cross-play features.

Rauora is an attacker wielding a unique gadget, the Deployable Omnilink Mesh (D.O.M.), capable of deploying bulletproof panels on doorways to obstruct enemy movement and vision.  Notably, she's the first operator to carry the Reaper MK2 pistol as a secondary weapon.

Along with Rauora's arrival, Operation Prep Phase brings a new reputation system aimed at improving player behavior.  Players with respectable ratings from Year 9 Season 4 will receive an Alpha Pack.  Conversely, disruptive or dishonorable players will face restrictions on playlists and rewards.

Further enhancements include measures to combat exploits and cheating, as well as an optimized matchmaking system, Dynamic Matchmaking 1.0, designed to improve match quality even during peak server load.  This dynamic system promises better player experiences by adjusting matchmaking based on real-time server demand.
