The highly anticipated remake, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, is finally slithering onto PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on August 28, 2025.  Konami recently lifted the veil on the PC system requirements, giving players a clear target for their hardware upgrades.

Since its announcement in 2023,  the remake of this beloved classic has generated significant excitement within the Metal Gear community.  As a pivotal entry in the franchise's narrative,  Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater represents a significant release for Konami. Following a period of silence, the official release date was confirmed alongside a new trailer during the February 12, 2025 State of Play presentation.  Shortly after, Konami also discreetly released the PC system specifications.

For those aiming for optimal performance,  Konami recommends a powerful combination of an Intel i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card.  Players looking to meet the minimum requirements will need at least an Intel i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 coupled with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super (8GB).  Regardless of the chosen configuration, 16GB of RAM and 100GB of available storage space (preferably on an SSD) are essential.

Beyond the core specifications, the game will support both Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems and requires DirectX Version 12.  This information provides PC players with a comprehensive understanding of what's needed to experience the return of Snake.

The recent State of Play presentation also offered a glimpse into the returning Ape Escape-themed game mode, a nostalgic bonus for fans of the original.  This particular mode will be exclusive to the PlayStation 5 and Steam versions. However, Xbox Series X/S players won't be left out, as their version will feature a unique exclusive mode, potentially involving the iconic Bomberman.

After a significant hiatus, the Metal Gear franchise is back in the spotlight. This remake marks Konami's second release under the Hideo Kojima-created IP in recent years, following the 2023 launch of the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1. Given Konami's responsiveness to player feedback and updates provided for the Master Collection, fans can anticipate a similar level of dedication and polish for the Snake Eater remake.
