Xbox Game Pass Reaches 200 Games in 2025 with Winter Burrow and Relic Hunters Legend
2025-11-13 00:58:47Microsoft's popular gaming subscription service, Xbox Game Pass, has expanded its library with the addition of Relic Hunters Legend and Winter Burrow. This latest update marks a significant achievement for the platform, as Winter Burrow becomes the 200th title added to Microsoft's subscription service in 2025, and the 11th new game to join Xbox Game Pass since the beginning of November.
In a typical year, Microsoft's subscription catalog usually welcomes approximately 150 new titles. The year 2025 initially followed this pattern until October 1st, when Xbox Game Pass Ultimate unexpectedly introduced 48 games in a surprise drop that coincided with a price adjustment for the service.
As a result of this accelerated release schedule, just three months after the Xbox Game Pass catalog received its 100th title of 2025, that number has now doubled as of November 12th with the platform's addition of Relic Hunters Legend and Winter Burrow. The former became available across all non-Essential tiers starting around midnight local time, while the latter arrived on PC Game Pass and XGP Ultimate at 8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CET. This official designation makes Winter Burrow the 200th title to join the service in 2025. The total count excludes expanded releases, such as Ultimate games arriving on XGP Premium, as well as Retro Classics titles. It also treats games with multiple versions—such as Football Manager 26, which features separate store listings for console and PC—as single entries.
Based on Microsoft's recent patterns and official communications, Winter Burrow is anticipated to reach the Premium tier of the service between May and November 2026. Currently, the game remains limited to PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate due to its status as a day-one release. The game itself presents players with a 2D woodland survival experience centered around a mouse protagonist attempting to restore their desolate childhood home while simultaneously searching for their missing aunt, who was supposed to be watching over the burrow. Winter Burrow thus contributes to the continuously growing selection of cozy games available on Xbox Game Pass.
The platform's next scheduled catalog update is set for this Friday, November 14th, when Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 joins the service. Its arrival will complete the Wave 1 Xbox Game Pass lineup for November 2025. The second monthly roster is expected to be announced on or around November 19th, coinciding with Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault joining Xbox Game Pass following a month-long delay.
Xbox Game Pass already has two confirmed titles scheduled for December: Routine and Dome Keeper. If 2024 serves as any indication, Microsoft might opt for a single comprehensive lineup announcement next month—rather than the usual two separate waves—potentially revealing all December additions along with several early January 2026 titles simultaneously.
