Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and its free-to-play counterpart, Warzone, received a minor update on February 26th.  This update, available across all platforms, primarily addresses bug fixes and implements key changes to Ranked Play.

The update arrives just a week after the substantial Season 2 Reloaded launch, which introduced a wealth of new content for Black Ops 6, including two new maps, weapons, modes, and a highly anticipated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration. This crossover added four new bundles to the in-game store, each featuring an iconic Ninja Turtle.  Players can also look forward to a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Event Pass starting February 27th, offering even more cosmetic items and weapons.

While less extensive than the Season 2 Reloaded patch, this update addresses several key issues.  The February 26th patch notes detail numerous bug fixes for Warzone, resolving problems such as editing custom loadouts mid-match, tac-map issues during the infil cinematic, and social menu-related disconnections.

The update also brings significant improvements to Black Ops 6, including various bug fixes and a crucial adjustment to Ranked Play.  Developer Treyarch Studios continually refines Ranked Play, often requiring adjustments to weapon and equipment availability.  This update unrestricts the recoil springs fire mod on the Jackal PDW, a popular submachine gun currently prominent in the game's meta.

Additional changes have been implemented across both Multiplayer and Zombies modes.  However, players eager for new content will need to wait for the Season 3 update, anticipated for release in March.  While official details remain scarce, recent leaks suggest the return of iconic Modern Warfare operators and weapons, alongside the much-anticipated return of Verdansk, the original Battle Royale map.

Activision has subtly acknowledged the use of AI-generated assets following recent allegations, a revelation that hasn't been well-received by some fans.  Further information about how AI is being utilized within the Call of Duty franchise is expected to be released soon.
