Pokemon GO has officially confirmed that Machop will headline the next Community Day Classic, scheduled for May 24, 2025. This event is part of the ongoing Might and Mastery season, which has heavily featured Fighting-type Pokemon in recent updates.

Since their debut in 2022, Pokemon GO's Community Day Classic events have provided trainers with another opportunity to catch beloved Pokemon that were previously featured in past Community Days. So far in 2025, Ralts and Totodile have taken center stage in January and March, respectively. Now, Pokemon GO is bringing back one of the strongest Gen 1 Pokemon for the season's final Community Day Classic.

The Kanto Fighting-type Pokemon Machop will be the main attraction during Pokemon GO's upcoming Community Day Classic. The event will run on Saturday, May 24, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. During this window, Machop will appear more frequently in the wild, increasing the chances of encountering its shiny variant. Trainers will also benefit from triple the usual Stardust rewards for catching Pokemon. Additionally, evolving Machoke between May 24 and 31 will grant players a Machamp with the exclusive Charged Attack Payback—a Dark-type move dealing 110 damage in Trainer Battles and 95 in Gyms and Raids. Notably, Gigantamax Machamp is set to debut in Pokemon GO on May 25, making this Community Day Classic an excellent opportunity for players to stock up on Machop Candy.

Similar to past events, the week following Machop's Community Day Classic will include exclusive Timed Research, offering a Machop encounter with a Might and Mastery-themed background. Additionally, Machop-themed Field Research will provide rewards such as Stardust, Great Balls, and more Machop encounters. Players can also opt for the $2 Machop Community Day Special Research, which includes a Premium Battle Pass, Candy XL, and other valuable items. For extra rewards, trainers can participate in PokeStop Showcases featuring Machop.

Pokemon GO's Might and Mastery season concludes on June 3, with the remaining weeks packed with Fighting-type events. Alongside Machop's Community Day Classic and Gigantamax Machamp's debut, Pokemon GO is introducing Dynamax Urshifu on May 21 as part of the GO Battle Week. Pawmo's first Community Day is also scheduled for May 11, offering a Pawmot with the Brick Break move.
