Sandfall Interactive, the developer behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, has confirmed that they are not working on any downloadable content (DLC) for the game at this time. Instead, the studio is fully committed to refining and enhancing the current experience. This news comes despite the game's overwhelming success, which has left fans eagerly hoping for additional content.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has taken the gaming world by storm, blending turn-based combat with real-time mechanics like dodging and parrying. The game's dark fantasy aesthetic and deep narrative—centered on themes of mortality and perseverance—have resonated with players worldwide. Within just 24 hours of launch, it sold 500,000 copies, and by the 12-day mark, it had surpassed 2 million units sold.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Sandfall Interactive's co-founders, Guillaume Broche and Tom Guillermin, stated that the team is entirely focused on improving the base game rather than expanding it with DLC. While this may disappoint some fans, the developers emphasized their commitment to refining gameplay balance and addressing player feedback.

One of the most notable recent changes was a nerf to Maelle's Stendhal skill, which previously allowed players to deal absurdly high damage. The adjustment was necessary to maintain fair gameplay, as the ability was overpowered compared to other builds.

The game's popularity has also led to shortages of physical copies, with scalpers reselling them for exorbitant prices—some listings on eBay have reached $1,400, far above the original $150 retail price. For those who haven't yet experienced Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, digital versions remain available on PC and consoles.
