Swedish developer Semiwork recently showcased this game-changing addition in their May 16 developer vlog, demonstrating how it transforms the classic cart-pushing gameplay into something far more explosive.

The Cart Cannon introduces an innovative cooperative mechanic where one player maneuvers the cart while another operates the mounted weapon. This tank-like configuration allows teams to blast through obstacles and enemies with strategic precision. Interestingly, the weapon serves dual purposes - functioning as both a powerful cannon and a concentrated laser beam depending on its orientation, adding another layer of tactical decision-making to REPO's already complex gameplay.

Alongside this major addition, Semiwork is implementing several quality-of-life improvements based on community feedback:

• Enhanced Health Pack effectiveness in early levels (with diminishing returns post-level 5)
• More valuable Energy Crystal mechanics
• Adjusted enemy stun mechanics to improve new player experience
