Infinity Nikki has officially responded to widespread player dissatisfaction regarding its problematic Version 1.5 update, providing both explanations and compensation for the numerous technical issues. Following its December 2024 launch, Infinity Nikki quickly rose to become the sixth highest-grossing mobile gacha game worldwide. While primarily a PC title, the game's success demonstrates Infold's ability to attract both dedicated fans and new players.

However, the March-April 2025 period proved challenging as developers worked on Version 1.5, touted as the most ambitious update for Infinity Nikki. The update's release was met with intense criticism from the community, citing unfinished content, a problematic dye system, game-breaking bugs, currency issues, and the removal of the beloved introductory sequence.

This controversy significantly impacted Infinity Nikki's Steam ratings, dropping to mostly negative reviews. Player frustration grew during Infold's silence, leading to organized protests demanding game improvements. Infold's official response on April 17, 2025 included apologies for Version 1.5's issues and compensation of 960 Diamonds for all accounts.

Citing the complexity of Version 1.5's technical issues, Infold has postponed Version 1.6 to June 12, 2025. This extension allows developers to address current problems in Infinity Nikki while preventing new issues in the upcoming update. Players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals for the delayed cooperative feature, plus daily rewards of 120 Diamonds and an Energy Crystal from June 5-12, 2025.

The developer's statement also addressed the Threads of Reunion dress from the original tutorial. While not confirming its return, Infold acknowledged that the current Sea of Stars introduction was rushed for Version 1.5. More substantial changes require additional development time, with details to be shared later.

Infold has implemented new in-game feedback channels via Pear-Pal. However, the timing of this apology coinciding with new 4-Star Banner Outfits in Infinity Nikki has drawn mixed reactions. Player protests continue globally, though Infold has taken initial steps toward resolution.
