Warhorse Studios' latest update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has brought more than just new content with the Brushes with Death DLC. Players have discovered that the patch has quietly fixed two notoriously problematic achievements tied to the game's challenging Hardcore mode.

Released just four months after the game's launch, the Brushes with Death DLC expands the medieval RPG experience with several hours of additional narrative content and introduces over ten new achievements for dedicated players to pursue.

The Hardcore Achievement Challenge

The Hardcore mode, introduced last month, presented Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 players with the ultimate test of skill. This brutal difficulty setting came with two demanding achievements:

• Hardcore Henry II: Complete the game on Hardcore difficulty (10 Gamerscore)
• Against All Odds: Finish the game on Hardcore with all negative perks active (90 Gamerscore)

Xbox players particularly struggled as these achievements frequently failed to unlock despite meeting all requirements. The recent Patch 1.3, delivered alongside the Brushes with Death DLC, has finally resolved these issues according to reports from TrueAchievements.

Retroactive Fixes and Future Content

Players who previously completed the Hardcore challenges need only load their saved games after installing the update to receive their well-earned achievements. This comes as welcome news given the significant time investment required to conquer Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's toughest mode.
