World of Warcraft has finally introduced Horrific Visions Revisited to the game – but players are facing a three-week timegate for certain rewards, along with unexpected difficulty spikes when using the Construct of Soridormi. These issues have somewhat overshadowed what should have been an exciting new feature. Unless Blizzard implements changes, World of Warcraft enthusiasts will need to wait weeks to unlock several cosmetic items, while the Construct of Soridormi currently makes challenges harder rather than easier.

On April 22, World of Warcraft released Patch 11.1.5. However, Horrific Visions Revisited, one of the update's major highlights, only went live nearly a month later. This revamped version of the Battle for Azeroth activity brings fresh rewards, tougher challenges, and new achievements to the game.

Before diving into this new feature, players should be aware of two key points. First, the Hourglass of Horrific Visions – an upgrade system that grants power-ups for the activity – cannot be maxed out immediately. Since only a limited number of Echoes of N’Zoth can be earned weekly, it will take three weeks to unlock all upgrades and secure the We Have the Memories achievement. This achievement is mandatory for purchasing several cosmetic rewards from Horrific Visions Revisited in World of Warcraft.

Another concern is the Construct of Sordormi, a new NPC companion designed to assist players in Horrific Visions, whether solo or in groups. However, as reported by Wowhead, bringing Soridormi along nearly doubles enemy health in instances, even without activating any difficulty-enhancing Mask affixes. Currently, this companion makes the activity more challenging rather than easier.

Patch 11.1.5 has been problematic since its launch, with certain features locked behind lengthy timegates and others plagued by bugs. The community's reception has been lukewarm at best. World of Warcraft game director Ion Hazikostas recently acknowledged these issues, promising improvements in future updates – but the ongoing problems with Horrific Visions have done little to reassure players.
