The popular dress-up adventure game, which launched in 2024 as the fifth installment in the beloved series, finds itself addressing player concerns once again despite its generally positive reception.

In Infinity Nikki, players join protagonist Nikki and her companion Momo on an enchanting journey across the diverse nations of Miraland. The game combines stunning visual design with engaging exploration mechanics, allowing players to collect magical outfits that grant special abilities while encountering a colorful cast of characters and creatures throughout their adventure.

Despite the game's vibrant aesthetics and charismatic characters, Infinity Nikki has faced multiple controversies within its first year of release. The community previously expressed frustration in December 2024 regarding interface changes and an increasing emphasis on gacha mechanics. The latest controversy emerged on August 31 when the developers introduced new furniture items including sofas, closets, and lamp stands, which players immediately criticized for their exorbitant pricing.

The Infinity Nikki development team has publicly apologized for the issues caused by the furniture pricing and usability concerns. In an official statement posted on the game's website, the developers announced that furniture packs would be temporarily removed from the Home Gallery feature. These items are scheduled to return during the second half of the game's 1.9 update cycle with revised pricing and improved functionality.

The statement detailed several forthcoming improvements to the Home Gallery system. Future content updates will include furniture pieces from the Stellar Poems Pack and Leisure Tea Brewing Sets I, II, and III receiving sketch versions. Additionally, items from the Astral Radiance Pack, Echo Waterwheel, and Seasons Couch will be made available as free rewards through Home ability upgrades, with their corresponding sketches included as skill level rewards.

Other planned enhancements include the reintroduction of the Stellar Cascade furniture set at a more accessible price point in future updates. The developers also confirmed that open-world decorations will gradually become placeable within the Home environment after undergoing necessary adaptation and performance optimization.

In addition to addressing the furniture controversy, the development team announced compensation for players affected by the recent issues. This includes free costumes, a massive 90,000㎡ island with 100 meters of building height allowance, and over 999 pieces of complimentary furniture. These goodwill gestures represent the developers' commitment to maintaining positive relationships with their player base despite recent missteps.
