Andor star Muhannad Ben Amor has become the latest high-profile voice advocating for Star Wars Battlefront 3. Nearly eight years after the release of Battlefront 2, players—including those within the Star Wars universe—are pushing for a new installment in the beloved franchise.

Initially met with criticism for its heavy reliance on loot boxes and microtransactions, Battlefront 2 has since undergone significant improvements, earning renewed appreciation from fans. Following the conclusion of Andor's second season, Battlefront 2's player count surged to its highest since 2021, further fueling demands for a sequel.

Ben Amor, who portrays Wilmon Paak in Andor, took to Instagram to voice his support for Battlefront 3, sharing a screenshot of his impressive 469-hour playtime on PS5. Describing himself as a "veteran since day one," the actor's passion for the game is undeniable. His plea aligns with a growing movement, as a petition for Battlefront 3 has garnered nearly 2,000 signatures on Change.org.

While EA and DICE have yet to confirm plans for Battlefront 3, the demand is undeniable. The original Battlefront series never saw a third installment, with LucasArts canceling Battlefront 3 in 2008 despite nearing completion. Given this history, EA could capitalize on fan enthusiasm by finally delivering the long-awaited sequel.

In the meantime, Battlefront enthusiasts have other reasons to stay engaged. Modders are working to revive the canceled Battlefront 3, and Amazon Prime is offering the original Battlefront 2 as a free game in June.
