Konami has officially unveiled the opening cinematic for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, reigniting excitement among fans with a modern twist on a beloved classic. The remake, developed without the involvement of Hideo Kojima or Yoji Shinkawa, promises to deliver a fresh yet faithful experience for both longtime fans and newcomers.

Snake Eater serves as a prequel to the Metal Gear Solid series, following FOX operative Naked Snake on a mission to rescue a Russian scientist and dismantle the Soviet Union's Shagohod superweapon. With the game's release date set for August 28, 2025, the opening movie has already sparked widespread enthusiasm. Recently, developer Virtuos expanded its operations by opening a new studio in South Korea, while the Singaporean team focuses on meeting the game's deadline.

Konami shared the three-minute opening sequence on YouTube, directed by Kyle Cooper.
