Diablo 4 Season 9 PTR Leak Reveals Major Class Changes and Sorcerer Buffs
2025-05-24 17:52:07The upcoming Diablo 4 Season 9 changes have been uncovered by dedicated dataminers, revealing a slew of balancing tweaks. These adjustments will be part of the latest Diablo 4 Public Test Realm (PTR), scheduled to begin in late May 2025.
As outlined in Diablo 4's 2025 roadmap, Season 9, titled Sins of the Horadrim, will run from July to September 2025. Blizzard will test this major update via a PTR, with version 2.3.0 available exclusively on PC from May 27 to June 3.
Wowhead has datamined the upcoming patch, revealing that Season 9 will bring extensive changes to every Diablo 4 class. The Sorcerer leads with 14 skill adjustments, including:
- Spark: Damage per bolt increased from 12% to 25%.
- Arc Lash: Damage boosted from 42% to 80%.
- Fire Bolt and Firewall: Damage-over-time effects enhanced to 90% and 300%, respectively.
Barbarian Adjustments
The Barbarian class will see six skill buffs, including:
- Bash: Damage raised from 33% to 90%.
- Lunging Strike: Similar damage increase as Bash.
- Flay: Bleeding effect damage increased from 48% to 115%.
- Frenzy: Each pair of hits now deals 70% damage, up from 30%.
- Hammer of the Ancients: Damage increased from 98% to 110%.
- Leap: Damage raised from 55% to 77%, with knockback replaced by a 70% slow for five seconds.
Necromancer Aspect Changes
The Necromancer's Blighted Aspect will now grant a 15–25% damage increase per consecutive hit with the Shadowblight Key Passive, resetting after six seconds. Previously, it required ten hits for a 35–55% boost.
