Pokemon GO has officially revealed that the scaly Dragon-type Jangmo-o will headline its upcoming Community Day on June 21, 2025. As one of the rarer Alolan Pokemon in the game, this event presents a golden opportunity for trainers to complete their Pokedex entries for Jangmo-o and its evolutionary line.

While legendary Dragon-types like Latias and Reshiram often steal the spotlight, Jangmo-o holds its own as a formidable contender. First introduced to Pokemon GO in 2022, this Generation 7 Pokemon received its shiny variant in 2024. Like most Dragon-types, Jangmo-o maintains a low spawn rate in the wild and remains challenging to obtain through eggs. This Community Day event will significantly increase players' chances to encounter and collect this coveted Pokemon.

The June Community Day will run from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time on Saturday, June 21, 2025. During this period, trainers can expect:

• Increased Jangmo-o spawns with boosted shiny encounter rates
• Exclusive move: Evolve Hakamo-o (Jangmo-o's evolution) during the event or up to June 28 at 10:00 PM local time to obtain a Kommo-o with the powerful Dragon-type charged attack Clanging Scales
• Enhanced bonuses: 3x XP for catches, 2x Candy, and reduced Stardust costs for trades
• Extended durations: Lure Modules and Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will last for three hours during the event

Niantic will offer both free and premium content for this Community Day:

• Free Timed Research: Awards a Jangmo-o encounter with a special Delightful Days-themed background
• $1.99 Special Research: Includes multiple Jangmo-o encounters, a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, and other valuable items

This event marks the first of four planned Community Days for Pokemon GO's summer season. The upcoming Delightful Days season promises more exciting events, with Jangmo-o's Community Day setting the stage for future fan-favorite Pokemon appearances.
