Sloclap, the acclaimed developer behind Sifu, is currently running a beta test for their upcoming multiplayer soccer game Rematch. This limited-time beta is available across Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms until May 31. The game is set for an official release on June 19, 2025, and will be a day-one addition to Xbox Game Pass.

Rematch is a fast-paced, five-a-side soccer game that emphasizes teamwork and immersion. While it shares Sloclap's distinctive painterly art style seen in Sifu, the gameplay mechanics are entirely different, focusing on quick, dynamic matches in visually striking arenas.

The beta is invite-based, but access appears to be relatively straightforward, especially on PC. Here’s how to sign up:

• PC Players: Request access via the Steam Playtest page. Approval is often immediate.
• Console Players (Xbox & PS5): Register through the official Rematch website. Xbox users can also try the Xbox Insider Hub app.

Note that console invites may take longer to arrive compared to PC access.

The beta runs until May 31, 2025, ending at 5 AM PT / 8 AM ET / 12 PM GMT. Sloclap is primarily stress-testing server infrastructure, so players should expect possible technical hiccups.
