Epic Games has officially announced an exciting new update for LEGO Fortnite called Expeditions, set to launch on June 18. This major expansion will introduce three Hero Classes to the game, starting with the Shadow Caller, alongside two new AI-powered NPCs named Noir and Slurp Leviathan.

Originally launched in December 2023 as a standalone mode, LEGO Fortnite has since evolved into multiple experiences including Odyssey and Brick Life. The upcoming Expeditions mode promises to blend exploration with class-based gameplay, accessible via bus stations in both existing modes according to leaks.

The new AI NPCs utilize similar technology to Fortnite's Darth Vader AI, but with unique behavioral patterns. Unlike direct voice interactions, Noir and Slurp Leviathan respond dynamically to in-game events like player emotes or group gatherings, creating emergent storytelling opportunities.

In a parallel development, Epic will release a LEGO Brick Editor for Unreal Editor on June 17. This creative tool provides 50 brick types in 42 colors, enabling unprecedented customization options for players to design their own LEGO creations within Fortnite.
