Recently, leaked gameplay footage and concept art from Hidden Path Entertainment's canceled Dungeons & Dragons RPG project have emerged online. The iconic tabletop franchise by Wizards of the Coast has inspired numerous video game adaptations, but not all of them made it to release. Fans now have a rare opportunity to see one of these abandoned projects.

Initial reports about Hidden Path working on a Dungeons & Dragons game surfaced in 2021 through studio job listings. While details were scarce, it was confirmed to be a third-person open-world RPG. Despite early promise, the project was ultimately canceled a few years later.

The leaked materials, discovered by MP1st, reveal the project's development name: Project Dante. An eight-minute gameplay clip showcases third-person combat and open-world exploration in a fantasy setting reminiscent of Dragon Age and The Elder Scrolls. The footage also highlights puzzle-solving mechanics and party member interactions.
