Love and Deepspace Surpasses Pokemon TCG Pocket in Mobile Revenue Rankings
2025-07-06 06:47:59In a surprising shift within the mobile gaming market, Love and Deepspace, a story-driven romance game featuring captivating 3D characters, has surpassed the popular Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket in revenue. While Pokemon TCG Pocket continues to engage players with regular card releases and events, Love and Deepspace has captured the attention of a growing audience with its unique blend of romance, sci-fi, and monster-hunting elements.
Since its launch in October 2024, Pokemon TCG Pocket has maintained a strong player base thanks to its simplified rules, frequent Wonder Pick events, and consistent updates. However, Love and Deepspace, developed by Papergames and published by Infold Games, has rapidly climbed the revenue charts, earning an estimated $56.4 million in June 2025—just behind Genshin Impact's $65.5 million.
The revenue shift highlights the dynamic nature of the gacha game market. While Genshin Impact reclaimed its top position in June, Love and Deepspace retained its second-place spot, pushing Pokemon TCG Pocket to third. Interestingly, both Love and Deepspace and Pokemon TCG Pocket saw a decline in revenue compared to May, with the latter experiencing a more significant drop—losing over a third of its player-driven income.
One possible reason for Pokemon TCG Pocket's dip could be the smaller scale of its recent expansions, such as the Eevee Grove and Extradimensional Crisis sets, which may have offered fewer incentives for players to spend on microtransactions. Meanwhile, Love and Deepspace's engaging narrative and character interactions continue to drive player engagement.
