Nexon is marking the first anniversary of its popular looter shooter, The First Descendant, with an exciting in-game celebration. Players can now claim a free character and multiple ultimate weapons as part of the special event. Since its launch last year, The First Descendant has continued to evolve, with Nexon actively incorporating player feedback to enhance the gaming experience.

While the free-to-play title has seen a decline in player numbers recently, Nexon remains committed to improving the game. The developer has introduced new features based on player requests and is offering generous rewards to attract both returning and new players. Notably, Nexon has discontinued support for older console versions, focusing instead on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S to ensure better performance and future updates.

The anniversary celebration coincides with the launch of Season 3, bringing fresh content to the game. Starting July 3 and running through August 13, players can participate in special anniversary missions to earn exclusive tokens. These tokens can be exchanged for valuable rewards, including character unlocks, in-game currency, and powerful weapons.

Players can spend their hard-earned anniversary tokens on various rewards at the in-game vendor Anais. The selection includes cosmetic items, photo mode enhancements, and resource bundles. Most notably, participants can claim any base game character (excluding recent seasonal additions) for 300 tokens.

The event also offers three ultimate weapon unlocks for 200 tokens each. These top-tier weapons, which normally require extensive grinding to obtain, include fan favorites like the Thunder Cage and Enduring Legacy. Players can claim up to three ultimate weapons during the event period.
