Square Enix has unveiled the preliminary patch notes for Final Fantasy XIV's highly anticipated Patch 7.3, titled The Promise of Tomorrow, scheduled to launch on August 5. This update marks the climactic conclusion to the Dawntrail expansion's main storyline, spanning 10 immersive quests that promise to deliver an unforgettable narrative experience.

During the recent 88th Letter From the Producer LIVE broadcast, director Naoki Yoshida shared insights into Patch 7.3's key features, which will be rolled out across multiple updates. The initial release on August 5 will introduce the second alliance raid in the Echoes of Vana'diel series - San d'Oria: The Second Walk, along with a fresh Crystalline Conflict PvP map and the intriguing Vault Oneiron treasure dungeon.

The main story quests will commence in Solution Nine with Targeted Tragedy, leading players through nine subsequent missions. Those eager to tackle the new alliance raid can begin their journey by speaking with a Landsguard Messenger in Tuliyollal after completing Jeuno: The First Walk.

Cosmetic enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy in Patch 7.3, including numerous headgear options finally becoming available for Viera and Hrothgar characters. The update also introduces new hairstyles, glamour pieces obtainable through various methods like the Manderville Gold Saucer, and updated textures for weapons from Stormblood and Endwalker expansions.

Significant gameplay changes include adjustments to Phoenix Down functionality, now usable on non-party members and in combat situations with extended range. The update also introduces chat bubbles, improved character models as part of Dawntrail's graphical overhaul, and a free Fantasia potion available in Old Gridania.
