Team Asobi has recently launched five exciting new challenge levels for their acclaimed platformer Astro Bot. These fresh additions to the Vicious Void Galaxy represent the latest free downloadable content from the Astro Bot development team, specifically designed to push skilled players to their limits with their increased difficulty.

Originally launched in September 2024, Astro Bot achieved remarkable success, earning multiple accolades including Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024, along with honors for Best Game Direction, Best Family Game, and Best Action/Adventure.

The newly introduced Vicious Void Galaxy levels, available to all players at no additional cost, include:

• Twin-Frog Trouble
• Suck It Up
• Handhold Havoc
• High Inflation
• Megamix Mastery

While the initial four levels concentrate on specific gameplay mechanics, Megamix Mastery demands players to combine multiple skills, creating a comprehensive challenge that has already generated positive feedback within the community discussions.

Developers have also incorporated unique Special Bots exclusive to these levels. This follows last month's announcement about Ghost of Yotei's protagonist Atsu joining Astro Bot, voiced by talented actress Erika Ishii. Accompanying the level reveal, Sony previewed an updated version of the Astro Bot Limited Edition DualSense controller scheduled for release later this year.

This marks another installment in Team Asobi's series of free DLC updates for Astro Bot. Previous additions included six levels in 2024 - five speedrun challenges in the Stellar Speedway Galaxy during October-November, plus a festive Christmas level in December. Earlier this year saw five more challenge levels introduced to the Vicious Void Galaxy, featuring special guest characters like Tekken's Heihachi Mishima and Beyond Good and Evil's Jade.
