Legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk has recently opened up about the diverse soundtrack featured in the highly anticipated Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 remake. While fans might have hoped for more classic tracks from earlier games, Hawk emphasized the importance of introducing new music to the franchise.

Iconic songs like Goldfinger's Superman, Bad Religion's You, and Anthrax's Bring the Noise have long been fan favorites in the series. However, the THPS 3 + 4 soundtrack aims to blend nostalgia with fresh tunes, encouraging players to explore new artists.

Launched on July 11, THPS 3 + 4 revives the beloved Pro Skater 3 (2001) and Pro Skater 4 (2002), featuring a roster of pro skaters such as Leo Baker, Bam Margera, and Lizzie Armanto. The game also includes special guest characters like Doom Slayer and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Michelangelo. Additionally, it joins other exciting titles like Pentiment and Doom: The Dark Ages in the Xbox Game Pass July 2025 lineup.

In an interview with BBC News, Hawk explained his vision for the soundtrack, stating, 'We wanted to keep it fresh. The music has always been a big part of the game, and this time, we’re introducing players to new sounds while honoring the classics.' He acknowledged that while some fans might miss older tracks, the goal was to strike a balance between nostalgia and innovation.

Hawk also addressed fan reactions to certain exclusions, like Alien Ant Farm's Wish, clarifying that not every song could make the cut. "It's nothing personal—just fire it up on your streaming service if you miss it,'"he joked.

Before the game's release, Activision teased fans with a Spotify playlist featuring returning classics like Motorhead's Ace of Spades and new additions from artists such as Denzel Curry and Run the Jewels.
