The developer behind Phasmophobia has begun teasing the game's massive Horror 2.0 update, set to launch in 2026. This groundbreaking update will completely overhaul numerous core aspects of the popular paranormal investigation game, potentially making it feel like an entirely new experience for players.

Originally released in Early Access during the COVID-19 pandemic, Phasmophobia has maintained its position as one of the most played cooperative horror titles, consistently drawing thousands of daily players across PC and console platforms. What began as a solo development project quickly gained traction among streamers and horror enthusiasts, propelling it to the top of sales charts in 2020.

In a recent interview with Eurogamer, Phasmophobia creator Daniel Knight shared exciting details about the Horror 2.0 update. "We're completely reimagining the horror elements in the game," Knight revealed.
