Since its 2024 launch, Helldivers 2 has evolved significantly, introducing new weapons, armor, missions, and enemy types. The Omens of Tyranny update brought the Illuminate—a technologically superior faction that manipulates machinery and battlefield dynamics. Recent leaks and developer comments suggest the Illuminate will return with enhanced capabilities. Community manager Baskinator confirmed on Discord that Arrowhead has "more stories to tell" in the Galactic War, hinting at tougher enemies and expanded lore.
