The real-time strategy game John Wick Hex will no longer be available for purchase on any digital platform starting July 17, 2025, according to an announcement from its publisher, Big Fan Games. As the only officially licensed game in the John Wick franchise, John Wick Hex brings to life many of the iconic characters from the popular film series.

John Wick Hex

Developed by UK-based indie studio Bithell Games, John Wick Hex is a tactical RPG set within the cinematic universe of the John Wick films. Originally launched for PC and macOS in October 2019, the game later expanded to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in 2020. Players assume the role of the legendary assassin John Wick himself, tasked with rescuing Winston and Charon from the game's original antagonist, Hex. The title features voice performances by Ian McShane and Lance Reddick reprising their film roles, along with Troy Baker voicing the new character Hex.

Through an official update on Steam, Big Fan Games revealed that John Wick Hex will be delisted across all platforms on July 17. While existing owners will retain access to the game through their digital libraries, and physical copies will remain functional, no new purchases will be possible after this date. The publisher did not specify the reasons behind this decision.

Fans still have an opportunity to purchase John Wick Hex before its removal, available for $19.99 on PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, Xbox Games Store, and Steam. The game has served as the franchise's sole prequel story until now, though this will change with the upcoming John Wick animated prequel film currently in production with Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski.
