The Pokemon Trading Card Game has officially disclosed the pull rates for its latest expansion, Black Bolt and White Flare. This marks the fifth and final special expansion in the Scarlet and Violet series, bringing nostalgic attention to Generation 5 Pokemon originally introduced in the Unova region.

Originally launched in Japan on June 6th, Black Bolt and White Flare were released as a dual-set expansion in Western markets on July 18th. This represents the first time a Japanese special expansion has been fully localized for international audiences. The expansion introduces 38 new Pokemon ex cards, along with premium variants featuring special Poke Ball or Master Ball background designs.

TCG Player's comprehensive analysis of over 700 opened booster packs reveals intriguing pull rate statistics:

  • Poke Ball Foil cards: 30.56%
  • Double Rare cards: 21.11%
  • Ultra Rare cards: 5.83%
  • Illustration Rare cards: 16.39%
  • Master Ball Foil cards: 5.14%
  • Special Illustration Rare cards: 1.25%

The expansion features stunning artwork of iconic Gen 5 characters including N and Hilda, with the rarest cards showcasing legendary Pokemon Reshiram, Zekrom, and Victini in striking monochromatic designs. While exact pull rates for these Black White Rare cards remain undetermined, collectors should note they're exclusively available in specific sets - Victini/Reshiram in White Flare and Victini/Zekrom in Black Bolt.

Notably, Black Bolt and White Flare offers significantly better odds for obtaining Illustration Rare cards compared to previous Scarlet and Violet expansions. While Destined Rivals presented a 1 in 12 chance, the current expansion improves this to 1 in 6, making it more accessible for collectors to obtain these visually striking cards.
