The cult classic, originally released in 2012, has seen a resurgence in popularity following the successful launch of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP in September 2024. This revival has attracted both longtime fans and new players, prompting the developer to expand the franchise further.

Earlier this month, Dragami Games hinted at multiple Lollipop Chainsaw projects in the pipeline, though specific details were initially scarce. The company has now partnered with Nada Holdings, a Taiwanese investment firm known for collaborating with prominent game developers like DeNA and Sega. While many speculated this partnership would focus solely on gaming, Nada Holdings' expertise in anime and manga production suggests a broader multimedia approach to the IP.
