This retro-style pixel art beat-em-up game channels the spirit of classic arcade brawlers like Double Dragon and Streets of Rage, while immersing players in the expansive Marvel Comics universe. With 15 characters planned for the initial release, developers have been gradually revealing the lineup leading up to launch.

The addition of Silver Surfer comes at a perfect time, coinciding with the character's prominent role in Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps movie releasing this summer. Beta Ray Bill, while less mainstream, brings his unique alien warrior aesthetic to the game, appealing to longtime Marvel fans familiar with his debut in 1983's The Mighty Thor comics.

With four character slots still remaining, speculation runs wild about who might complete the roster.
